FRANCESCA BUONACARA
PHOTOGRAPHY
I was born in Apulia, South Italy and I moved to Bologna to attended and graduated at University, in Communication. I’ve started to shooting during university years and I’ve improved my passion by moving to London.
Returning to Italy, I’ve continued my photographic research with travel reports and event shootings. In 2011-2012 I attended the Shoot Institute - Image Professional in Bologna, expanding and perfecting the techniques of Studio Photography and specializing in Commercial Photography and Still Life.
In March 2013, for the first time, I took part at Revolution 2013 organized by FIOF, Orvieto Photography International Fund, with my work "Parkour, the art of urban travel" obtaining a Special Mention.
In November 2013 I attended a focus-course on Food Photography with Roberto Savio to improve my inclinations towards studio and commercial photography, with particular reference to the world of food.
In 2014 I won two Bronze in the OPEN category for the 2014 FIOF AWARDS, for the Colours work.
In August 2014 I started my eportage on women's football made following a Apulia Team PINK BARI . The project was presented at the Murat Gallery in Bari for the "Women in Play" event, exhibited during the FIOF 2015 convention in Orvieto and during a collective exhibition "The ways of art are endless" at the G.Bovio Library of Trani.
From 2015 I’m co-founder for Gruccialterna Atelier project, a female clothing atelier, in Bologna. My responsibility are about image, shooting, e-commerce and social media marketing.
